Christmas is Finally HERE!!

Christmas Eve is always a special night because Santa and Mrs. Claus come for a quick visit to deliver a package for each of the cousins.  This kids waited so patiently for their turn on Santa's Lap.

Gini got a Fancy Nancy Doll and The Posh Puppy.

Trey got a Handy Manny Fixit Motorcycle.

Nina got Bop It

Great Grandma got to visit with Santa and Mrs Claus too!

Don't they all look so sweet!
Just when the night was winding down Uncle Chris turn on some dancing music and the lazer lights and the cousins that were still there danced till way past there bedtime.

Visiting with Santa

We have another family Christmas tradition. We take one day to head downtown for a trolley ride and visit with Santa. This year it was very cold. We braved the weather and rode the trolley. While waiting in line to visit Santa we had some cookies and hot chocolate to keep us warm.  We delivered their Chrismtas lists so Santa would be sure to bring what they wanted.  If you ask Trey what he told Santa he wanted for Christmas he will reply "I got a sucker!"

Creches and Carols

Each year a Stake Center hosts Christmas Creches and Carols Exhibit.  They have over 500 Creches from around the world.  It is an amazing CHRISTmas experience.  We have had the opportunity to go twice now and we would need to go hundreds more to really see all the nativities they have on display.  This year our family dressed up as a live Nativity.  We had a wonderful time and welcome all to join us next year!!

Santa Claus is Coming to Town...

Every year the day after Thanksgiving we go downtown to the Santa Claus Parade.  We meet up with all our cousins and watch together.  We always have a great time.  Here are some photos from this years parade.

Trey patiently waiting for the parade to start.

Trick or Treat.....

We had a very fun Halloween 2009.  We started our festivites the day before with Parties, Parades, and Trunk or Treating.  On Halloween Day we carved our Pumpkins.  We then went to see the Michael Jackson movie "This Is It"  dressed in our costumes.  It really was amazing.....Byron and I left wishing we could have had the opportunity to see the live performance!  We then went to Woodland Ct. to visit some of our longtime friends and begin our Trick or Treating for the night.

Here is Gini dressed in Classic Gini Style "Retro Go Go Girl"
She may have been born in 2003 but she truely does enjoy the styles from the 60 and 70's!!

Like I have said before Trey loves "Flitball".  Here he is sporting he new "Happy Birthday" from PaPa.
He likes to say BYU!  He was so cute going house to house.  He would say very politely "Trick or Treat....followed by Thank You...."  then he would turn around and "Roarrrrrrrrrrrrrrr"  Aunt Jackie thinks he was just being a COUGAR.  Note: His mouth piece is courtesy of Aunt Jo and Uncle Chandler!!

Nina wanted to be a Princess Cowgirl.  I am not sure if you can tell but Aunt MiMi found a Pink Cowgirl hat with a Tierra and a Pink Holster meant for guns.  But in 2009 a modern Cowgirl carries a Pink cell phone and Pink water bottle!!

Here is the Cousin Crew with Great Grandma.
We had a nice family parade from house to house early in the afternoon on Halloween.

Here are our fancy CARVED Pumpkins.
We were only going to do the 2 big ones until Trey put his foot down and we carved his baby one too!

Gameday

One of Trey's favorite sports right now is "Flitball" or otherwise know as Football.  He loves to have anyone willing play with him.  He started by playing "Hut Hut" with Grandpa and has now expanded his game to involve a very fancy Helment (pictured below) and often times a ball (not specific to a football).  If you are willing he will get up and let you chase him around the house.  He likes to be tackled.  He also likes to slide at any moment no matter where we are and announce "touch down".  Below are some photos I got of him playing with Daddy.

Here is just a cute picture of Trey in his Tigger outfit that Aunt Mimi just loved.

Wedding Fun at the Fun Farm

This Year we went to the Fun Farm for B-Laur and Bobby's Wedding Reception.  The kids thought it was the best Wedding EVER!!  Trey got to do lots of new things this year and had a great time.  They all got to stay up way past their bedtime.  Nina loves it when that happens.

Trey riding the bicycles with Daddy.

Trey playing golf.  This is just one of the many sports he loves.

Trey with his Aunt MiMi.

Three cute girls I thought I would try and snap a shot of.  Took quite a few of these and there isn't one where they all three look great....this one is the best.  Gini with her goofy smile!!

Scooby Birthday Party

Gini LOVES Scooby Doo.  This year she had a Scooby Doo Mystery Party.  Someone stole all of her birthday presents and the kids had to help Scooby find them again.  They had a great time following the clues and playing games along the way as they looked for her presents.  Here is a look at the fun they had!

Gini and Cousin Ella opening her presents after the mystery was solved.

Nina volunteered to be wrapped in toliet paper during the mummy game.

The Scooby Pinata a must at a Birthday Party....This year I pre-wrapped all the candy in individual bags so when they broke it open, they dashed for a bag instead of tackling to see who could get the most candy.  Best Idea EVER !!  Thanks Maw Maw...

Last but not least the all too cute Scooby Cupcakes that I made for the Party.  I am not too crafty and definately not a cake decorator but I thought they turned out pretty good.

Go Cougars!

This past weekend we went to New Orleans to see the BYU Cougars play Tulane. Despite the incredibly long drive and extremely wet weekend in NOLA we had a wonderful time. We rode the Trolley to a tailgate party (got rained on) and then went to the game Saturday afternoon (got rained on walking back to the hotel). We drove to the French Quarter for sight seeing Sunday morning. We took a Horse drawn Carriage (got rained on). We had a beignet at Cafe du Monde's (stayed dry), then rode a different trolley (got rained on) to a ferry that crosses the Mississippi River. We also drove through some of the areas affected by Hurricane Katrina. We had a fun trip and a great time Cheering on the COUGARS!

Trey stayed at the hotel for a nap with Maw Maw.
Thank you Mom for coming along to babysit so we could have a fun time at the game!
