Happy Birthday Baby Girl...

Our Nina turned 7 today. Oh how the time has flown. I think to date she has lost more teeth than she is old and has accomplished more things than one blog posting can hold. One thing is for sure this girl loves to CELEBRATE!! She took treats to school to share with her friends. Tonight we went to the Art Festival at school. Nina sucessfully snickered PaPa in to buying her some artwork "for her birthday." Then we went out for a birthday dinner. We have a plans for a weekend full of Birthday fun, because for Nina we celebrate all week long.

Nina loved the food. She even drank her Dr. Pepper in a fancy glass! We shared a cake for dessert...AND the servers even sang her a Happy Birthday song "FOR FREE" (in her words)
While we were waited for our table I decided to take some photos of the kids. Nina and Trey did a pretty good job posing for me, Gini on the other hand was less interested in sitting for a photo. One of these days I will get them all three I promise. Nina and I will soon go out for a real photo shoot for her 7 year pictures. For now these will do!

Easter Morning

On Easter Trey woke up early in the morning way before sunrise. Mommy and Trey fell back asleep on the couch. The Girls woke Daddy up and were forced to wait in bed for us before they could head downstairs to see their Easter Baskets.

Here Trey is giving away his Teddy Grahams and holding on tight to his Twix. Smart Boy!!

He truly has enjoyed this Easter holiday. For that matter he knows exactly where the candy is. He frequently takes us to the fridge and points up and says "dis"!

Now that they are all "Fancy", they got to go outside for the Easter egg hunting. We did 2 hunts. One at home and the other at Maw Maw's house. It was a bit wet from all the rain we have gotten so they wore their rain boots. Leave it to Gini to fall 3 times while racing around for eggs. Her dress made it out safe from mud but her new white tights may have seen better days.

Not the best of days for an outdoor photo. It was cloudy, cold, moist and windy. This seems to be the best of the shots I took, at least the girls dresses aren't flying in the air!!

Dying Easter Eggs

Every Easter the kids dye Easter Eggs. They just love to get messy. This year Trey joined in on the fun and we dyed a whole lot of eggs. On Easter the kids got to put funny faces on them!! We seemed to have quite a few broken eggs when it was all said and done but they did have alot of fun decorating them.

Baby School...

Trey goes to what Gini calls "Baby School" about twice a month. Actually it is a Parents as Teachers Playgroup. Today he decided he needed a backpack. One day he might reqret taking a TinkerBell backpack with him to playgroup. I just though he looked like such a big boy. I guess it is time to start shopping for a more manly backpack.
The Easter Bunny met us at the Playgroup and hid some eggs.

This was Trey's first egg hunt that he could actually participate in. With the help of Big Sis Gini he made out well.

The eggs were empty but they "Teachers" had a special treat bag for all the kids. We couldn't go inside without having a piece of candy (Chocolate ofcourse)

As you can see he loved hunting the eggs and eating the candy but he didn't love visiting with the Easter Bunny.
